A silver medal for Dorothea Wierer in the sprint race and a bronze medal for the men’s team in the relay race: these are the results achieved by the Italian National team in the third stage of the Biathlon World Cup, held in Oberhof (GER) from the 4th to the 17th of January.

In the sprint race, Dorothea Wierer got on the second step of the podium after an excellent performance on the skis and even more at the shooting range, where the athlete made no mistakes. This is her third podium of the season after the individual gold medal conquered in Kontiolahti and the bronze medal won in the mass start in Hochfilzen.

The first medal for men arrived in the men's relay race. The quartet including Lucas Hofer, Tomas Bormolini, Dominik Windisch, and Tommaso Giacomel conquered the bronze medal, placing after France and Norway, with a great race for the Italian team, which never lose track of the podium thanks to an extraordinary performance at the shooting range with the cal. 22 ammunitions of the Fiocchi Biathlon Line.
