Our athlete, with her accurate shooting and her smooth skiing, completed a great performance that allowed her to win the Bronze medal, falling behind only to World Cup leader Laura Dahlmeier and French Marie Dorin.
Vittozzi is the fourth Italian biathlete in this season to win an individual medal, after her teammates Wierer, Runggaldier and Windisch, while the country's medal count during this IBU season reached the double-digit (10).
The Finnish trip was a successful one only for Lisa though, as she was the sole Italian to win a medal. Nonetheless, there were two more performances that need to be mentioned: Lukas Hofer finished 6th in the Men's Pursuit, and Lisa Vittozzi was great also in the Sprint competition, arriving 6th as well.
The Biathlon season moves to Norway, where the last stage of the IBU World Cup will take place from 17 to 19 of March at Oslo-Holmenkollen.
