Lecco/Marano di Castenaso (Bologna), October 1st, 2020 – Fiocchi Munizioni, founded in Lecco in 1876, a global leader for the manufacturing of small caliber ammunition, announces the acquisition of Baschieri & Pellagri, founded near Marano di Castenaso (Bologna) in 1885, which specialized in the manufacturing of super premium hunting and shooting softshell.

The merger of these two companies grows the position of these companies as the European leader of the hunting and shooting segment, but also provides a vertical integration to the group which will guarantee considerable synergies and a significant competitive advantage.

At the date of the closing, the group will have 3 manufacturing plants located in two continents, with an unrivalled footprint in the sector: the historical manufacturing plant of Fiocchi in Lecco, the hunting and shooting center of excellence of Baschieri & Pellagri in Marano di Castenaso and the manufacturing plant of Fiocchi of America in the United States (part of another recent and important expansion of the Fiocchi company). Thanks to Fiocchi’s considerable international commercial network the newborn Fiocchi – Baschieri & Pellagri represents a more than 200M€ group, with more than 800 employees.
