The second stage of the IBU World Cup, held in Hochfilzen (AUT) from December 10 to 15, ended with another victory of our Dorothea Wierer.
After winning two gold medals in the first stage in Oestersund, Wierer won again in the Sprint in Austria, conquering her ninth victory in her career in an individual race and reaching 50 podiums, included relay races.
Very fast on skis, Dorothea Wierer showed impeccable precision at the shooting range, where she uses the .22 Biathlon line by Fiocchi Munizioni: “I am very happy with this success and I did not expect to start the season so well - the athlete from Alto Adige commented at the end of the race - Now the important thing is to continue like that”.
Dorothea was the only athlete of the Italian national team to win a medal in Hochfilzen; in the other competitions the Italian national team has however achieved excellent results for the general rank: Lucas Hofer, in particular, deserves to be celebrated: 5th in the Sprint and 7th in the male pursuit.
The third stage of the Biathlon World Cup is scheduled from 16 to 22 December in France in Le Grand Bornand: come on guys!
