First Oberhof, then Ruhpolding: Lisa Vittozzi’s magic moment continued in Germany, where the Italian athlete won her third World Cup medal out of two competitions, finishing in 2nd position in the Sprint race, claiming silver and claiming Italy’s 11th podium placement of the season.
Indeed, the Italian team will travel to Anterselva with the impressive tally of four golds, four silvers and three bronzes, as Dorothea Wierer will try to defend her yellow bib, competing alongside the other Azzurri in front of a packed and noisy Südtirol Arena.
Along with Vittozzi’s silver, Italy secured three more placements in the top 10 in Ruhpolding: Lukas Hofer took 6th place in the men’s Sprint race, Thomas Bormolini, Giuseppe Montello, Dominik Windisch and Hofer himself finished 9th in the Men Relay, while Dorothea Wierer nailed a precious 6th position in the Sprint as well.
