Another IBU World Cup Biathlon competition, and another podium for the Azzurri: this time, it's signed by Dorothea Wierer, who took Bronze at the end the Sprint event in Hochfilzen (AUT).
Despite missing one target in her first shooting, the Italian athlete displayed an improved shape, closing 30.6 seconds behind the winner, Belarus' Darya Domracheva, and 8.5 away from Silver medal winner Anastasiya Kuzmina of Slovakia. Also in the Sprint, Lisa Vittozzi closed in 14th place, only missing one target.
In the three days of competition, heavily conditioned by wind and snow, the best result — apart from the medal — was nailed by the men's relay, who finished in 5th place with Thomas Bormolini, Lukas Hofer, Dominik Windisch and Thierry Chenal.
The circuit of the IBU World Cup Biathlon will now move to France, in Annecy-Le Grand Bornard, where six more races are taking places from the 14th to the 17th of December: two Sprints, two Pursuits and two Mass Starts.
